Gary Stocks

Gary Stocks started out his career in business consulting and gained 10 years experience in this field both locally and in the UK. This work included assignments in a number of different industries, such as banking and financial services, retail and property development. Gary joined BSG (Africa) in 1997 as a consultant and worked in both the business consulting and software development divisions, before turning his attention to strategy. Over the past 3 years, Gary has been responsible for leadership development and performance management, helping to build a strong culture of reward and recognition, individualised career development and community. His role also includes the challenge to make HR a strategic talent development function at BSG. Gary holds a Masters degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town.

   
Elsje Greyling

Elsje Greyling is an independent management and human resources consultant. She has extensive experience in the public service, academic and healthcare sectors as a human resources specialist and professional, executive manager and director and more recently as an advisor, consultant and researcher. Elsje holds an M Com degree in Human Resources Management (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Her major strengths are to design and implement solutions in the areas of organisational development, knowledge management, compliance and governance, as well as public sector reform and transformation.

   
Marius Meyer

Marius Meyer is CEO of the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP), the professional body for HR practitioners and statutory Education and Training Quality Assurance Body for HR in South Africa. He facilitated training and consulting interventions for more than a 100 companies and is a section editor for the South African Journal of Human Resource Management. Previously Marius lectured in HRD at the University of South African and University of Johannesburg. He has been an HRD practitioner, consultant and academic for the last 17 years. Marius is registered as a Master HR Practitioner and Mentor with SABPP. He is an advisory board member and head of research for ASTD Global Network South Africa. Marius is a regular speaker at local and international conferences and author of several articles and books, as well as co-chair of the HR Directors' Forum of Executives Global Network South Africa. He has a passion for leadership, strategy, governance, change management and people development. Marius recently co-authored the first SABPP position paper on HR Risk Management.

Nadene Venter

Nadene Venter is a Registered Industrial Psychologist and Managing Director of SHL South Africa, a world leading provider of objective assessment and development solutions. Nadene has been part of SHL for the last eleven years. During this time she has focused on areas of competency-based recruitment and assessments, career development, performance management, organisation development and the facilitation of training and development interventions at all levels for the public and private sectors. Before entering into consulting, she was employed by the Military Psychological Institute (MPI) where she completed her Internship as Industrial Psychologist. Nadene holds a M. Comm. Degree Cum Laude from the Rand Afrikaans University (now called University of Johannesburg). She received the Chancellor's medal for the best Masters degree student in the Faculty of Commerce.

   
Otto Pretorius

Otto Pretorius, director of QBit Align (Pty) Ltd, qualified as a psychologist in 1995 at the Buffalo State University, USA. Prior to this he obtained a B.Comm degree, majoring in Accounting, a B.Comm Honours degree in Information Systems and a Master's degree in Information Sciences at the University of Pretoria,. Since 1997 he has started to focus on business only. As managing director of Mind Crew, senior business consultant of Ernst & Young and director at QBit, he has nurtured his ability to focus on the dynamic interface between people, business processes and technology from an operational and strategic perspective. Over the past nine years he has focused on the Human Capital environment and its potential to become a strategic business partner. This has led him to a number of interim executive management positions and his clients include among others Old Mutual, Medscheme, First National Bank, Rand Merchant Bank and Momentum

   
Lisa Ashton

Lisa Ashton is the MD of BIOSS South Africa. Lisa joined Third Foundation Systems in 1996 prior to the formation of Bioss South Africa. Lisa holds an M.Com degree in Human Resources Management (Industrial Psychology) and is registered as an Industrial psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She has accumulated a wealth of consulting experience from a wide range of Human Resource and Organisational Change projects and interventions. Her areas of specialty include: Executive assessment; Succession Planning; Talent Management; Strategic Human Resource Planning and Coaching, she has a special interest in women's issues and has learned that leadership is about creating conditions for others to be successful.

She has also lectured at the University of Johannesburg in Strategic Personnel Management, Organizational Behaviour and Psychometrics. Previous Positions include Principal consultant (MAC Consulting), primarily as part of large scale organizational change projects, and corporate roles in the Banking and Telecommunications Industries.
