Knowledge Management

It has become cliché to say that an organisation's most precious asset walks out the door every evening. Yet, like most clichés, there is a strong element of truth. The knowledge that employees possess, their ideas, creativity, networks, "institutional memory" and their instincts, which appreciate the longer they remain with the organization and/or industry, are most organisation's leverage and competitive advantage. Moreover, many employees possess intellectual property and secrets that if accessed by a competitor could erode an organisation's position in the market.

Since knowledge is an enormous part of a typical organization's value, the engagement and management of knowledge holders is mission critical. In this track we explore formal and informal systems and management practices that develop, preserve and protect talent's knowledge.
